COLORFUL BRAIN

At times, during 2011, I joined a fellow artist in her project called Art for Girls.

It was a mentoring initiative where young girls could come and create for free, in a culture house kind of setting. The culture house was occupied by mostly boys who rehearsed with bands, and this was a way to balance it all. And it worked, it was very popular.

In our first meeting, I painted fruits, and I am usually no fan of still life painting, but I realized that my brain is different and as soon as I decided to make the fruit larger and more colorful, it was fun. I see the world in more colors than many others and the top image shows how I interpreted the Pommegrenate on the plate. It is blue and yellow and everything else.
